It’s an excellent opportunity to spot sea turtles and gentle sea cows, also known as dugongs, feeding on grass prairies on the sea bottom. Our first snorkelling venue is at Marsa Shuni, a half hour sailing from Port Ghalib. Marsa Shuni boosts a fine bouquet of intimidating fire corals, cauliflower corals and majestic table corals. It’s also home to the bullethead parrotfish, crocodilefish, the
boxed pufferfish, the lined butterflyfish, the yellow unicornfish and the sohal surgeonfish

The elusive dugong is an endangered sea cow, graciously grazing the grassy seabeds of Mars Mubarak. The water is shallow here and home to clearfin lionfish, giant triggerfish, common porcupine fish, parrotfish, clownfish and crocodile fish.
